• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in civil construction, bulk earthworks, infrastructure or mining.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution and delivery of project works.
• Assist with scheduling, resource planning and cost control.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and site teams.
• Prepare work packs, technical docs and project reports.
• Monitor progress and improve project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Support procurement and contract administration activities.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced and motivated engineering professionals to support the delivery of a project in the Cairns region on a 2 week on, 1 week off roster.

• Senior Project Engineers

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of project works
• Assisting with project scheduling, resource planning, and cost control
• Coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and site teams
• Preparing work packs, technical documentation, and project reports
• Monitoring project progress and identifying opportunities for improvementEnsuring works are completed in accordance with specifications, drawings, and project requirements
• Managing quality assurance and quality control processes
• Supporting procurement and contract administration activities
• Maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with construction, commercial, and client stakeholders

About You

To be successful, you will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline
• Previous experience within civil construction, bulk earthworks, infrastructure or mining
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational and planning capabilities
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project management software

Highly Regarded

• Demonstrated experience in project delivery environments
• Knowledge of contract administration and commercial principles
• Chartered Engineer status or progress toward professional accreditation
• Experience with project management systems and scheduling software
