Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC) is seeking an Experienced Station Hand to support cattle operations in Queensland. The role suits proactive, physically capable individuals with a background in mustering and cattle handling.

You will perform mustering, drafting, processing, and general station tasks, with on-the-job training and generous leave provisions. Accommodation is provided with travel support to the station after probation.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of full-time station experience.

• Valid manual driver's licence.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.

We are looking for TWO or more years full time experience as a Station Hand to apply for this role.

Your key duties and tasks

• All cattle operations including mustering, drafting, processing and trucking
• Low stress livestock handling techniques and promote and manage best practice animal welfare for our animals
• Horse riding and two wheel motorbike riding for mustering
• Motor Vehicle and machinery operation (manual vehicles) and pre start checks
• Fence maintenance - straining fences and general repairs (basic welding)
• General station maintenance

What you will need

• Two or more years full time operational experience on a station
• Self motivated and able to work alone
• Proven horse riding ability
• Proven skills in cattle handling, processing and mustering
• Ability to muster with a two wheel motorbike
• Current and valid drivers licence (manual)

This is a physically demanding job that includes both indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather and temperature environments.

This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will be expected to be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull from 10-20 kilo's and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders.
