Job summary

VBP Interiors Pty Ltd in Condell Park, Sydney, seeks a PYTHA / ALPHACAM Drafter to convert architectural plans into detailed 3D models, shop drawings and CNC programs for residential and commercial joinery. Hands-on cabinetmaking experience is essential to ensure accurate fabricate-ready drawings and production data.

You’ll collaborate with project managers and the workshop team to manage drafting deadlines across multiple projects from drafting through to installation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cabinetmaking experience is essential.
• Experience using PYTHA for cabinetry or joinery drafting.
• Experience using ALPHACAM for CNC programming.
• Strong understanding of joinery construction, materials and hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Experience managing offshore drafting teams preferred.
• Cabinetmaking trade qualification highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and shop drawings using PYTHA.
• Prepare CNC programs using ALPHACAM.
• Interpret architectural plans, specifications and site measurements.
• Prepare drawings for client approval and workshop production.
• Manage revisions and check dimensions, materials, hardware and construction details.
• Work with the workshop team to ensure drawings and machining information meet production requirements.
• Manage drafting and programming deadlines across multiple projects.
