Job summary

APEX Plumbing and Civil is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our Brisbane-based team. You’ll operate excavators and other machinery across civil, plumbing and drainage projects throughout Brisbane and Southeast Queensland, ensuring safety and efficiency.

You will work closely with supervisors and crews, perform daily checks, and assist with general site duties. We offer full-time ongoing employment, a supportive team, paid birthday leave and a paid two-week Christmas shutdown,

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators on civil construction sites.
• Relevant machinery tickets and licences.
• Construction White Card.
• Experience working around underground services.

• Civil drainage, sewer and water infrastructure works
• Loading trucks and moving materials

APEX Plumbing and Civil is looking for an experienced and reliable Excavator Operator to join our growing team. You'll work across civil, plumbing and drainage projects throughout Brisbane and Southeast Queensland. We need someone who is confident operating machinery safely and efficiently, takes pride in their work and is willing to help the crew outside the machine when required.

Key responsibilities

Operating excavators and other machinery safely and efficiently

Detailed excavation and trenching around existing services

Civil drainage, sewer and water infrastructure works

Loading trucks and moving materials

Completing daily machinery checks and basic maintenance

Working closely with supervisors, plumbers and ground crews

Assisting with general site duties when required

Following all workplace health and safety requirements

About you

Demonstrated experience operating excavators on civil construction sites

Relevant machinery tickets and licences

Construction White Card

Experience working around underground services

Strong understanding of site safety

Reliable transport and the ability to travel between job sites

A dependable, hardworking attitude

Ability to work well within a team
