Job summary

Southern Cross Electronic Security is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join our Sydney commercial installation and service team. You will work across CCTV, access control, alarm and intercom systems, performing installation, service, fault-finding and commissioning.

The role covers diverse commercial sites across Sydney, Wollongong and the Central Coast. NSW security licensing, a valid driver's licence and cabling registration are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, service, fault-find and commission CCTV, access control, alarm and intercom systems.
• Perform fault-finding and fault resolution across diverse commercial sites.
• Complete service and installation documentation accurately.
• Work across Sydney, Wollongong and the Central Coast with minimal supervision.
• Conduct inspections, site assessments and equipment testing as needed.

Select Full-time or Permanent Part-time, 3, 4 or 5 Days Per Week

Southern Cross Electronic Security is looking for an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join our Sydney commercial installation and service team.

We are looking for a technician who already has solid electronic security industry experience and is capable of working independently across CCTV, access control, alarm and intercom systems.

The Role

Your work will include installation, service, fault-finding and commissioning across a diverse commercial customer base.

We work across commercial facilities, strata properties, small to medium enterprises and local government sites throughout Sydney, Wollongong and the Central Coast.

• Service and fault-finding of electronic security systems
• Installation and commissioning of CCTV systems
• Installation and commissioning of access control systems
• Alarm system installation, programming and fault-finding
• IP and 2-wire intercom systems
• Structured cabling, cable installation and conduit work
• Diagnosing faults and resolving problems independently
• Completing service and installation documentation

Who We Are Looking For

We are specifically looking for an established Electronic Security Technician with a minimum of 3–5 years' relevant industry experience.

You should be comfortable attending a site, assessing a fault or installation requirement and working through the job without requiring constant supervision.

You must have practical industry experience across the majority of the following:

• Access control
• CCTV
• Alarm systems
• Intercom systems
• Electronic security cabling and installation

Experience in service and fault-finding is particularly important.

Current NSW security licensing is essential.

A current driver's licence and cabling registration are also required.
