Job summary

BallyCara is seeking an Experienced Domestic Cleaner – Community Aged Care to join the Support at Home team. You will help clients across Kallangur, Albany Creek, Petrie, Strathpine, Lawnton, Bray Park and surrounding areas to stay independent in their own homes.

Role involves high-quality domestic assistance, companionship and maintaining a clean, safe home. Availability for casual or permanent part-time hours is preferred, with weekday coverage and flexibility valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in community aged care or HomeCare.
• Experience providing domestic assistance within clients’ homes.
• Genuine commitment to supporting older people to remain independent.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence and insured vehicle.
• Current First Aid & CPR and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

Casual - With the potential to move into permanent employment for the right candidate.

Permanent Part Time - Tuesday to Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm.

We’re looking for people who can provide reliable support during weekdays, with some flexibility around working hours highly regarded.

What will you do?

As a Domestic Cleaner, you’ll provide high-quality domestic assistance to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

Your day may include:

• Completing domestic cleaning and household duties
• Supporting clients to maintain their independence at home
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Encouraging social connection and participation in meaningful activities
• Building positive and respectful relationships with clients and their families
• Observing and reporting changes in a client’s health or wellbeing
• Maintaining accurate records of services provided
• Following client care plans, privacy requirements and organisational procedures

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings experience, reliability and genuine care to every client interaction.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience working in community aged care or HomeCare
• Experience providing domestic assistance within clients’ homes
• A warm, respectful and compassionate approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• A genuine commitment to supporting older people to remain independent

You will also need:

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Current First Aid & CPR
• National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
• COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations are highly recommended
