BallyCara in Scarborough, QLD is seeking a reliable Housekeeper for its Residential Aged Care team. This casual role offers potential progression to permanent employment and focuses on creating a welcoming, homely environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or a similar hands-on role.
• Dependable, punctual and ready to contribute.
• Eye for detail and pride in your work.
• Able to work independently while being a great team player.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help.
• Friendly, respectful and comfortable working around older people.
• Capable of handling the physical demands of a busy housekeeping role.

Responsibilities

• Keep resident rooms fresh, clean and comfortable.
• Make shared spaces sparkle, including lounges, bathrooms, offices and communal areas.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising to high hygiene standards.
• Assist with in-house laundry, including washing, sorting and distributing linen.
• Replenish supplies and ensure everything is ready for the day.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Use cleaning equipment, chemicals and PPE safely.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Share a friendly smile and treat residents with kindness and respect.
