Job summary

BallyCara is seeking compassionate, reliable team members to deliver in-home care for older Australians in Brisbane's northern suburbs. You will support daily living, maintain independence and help clients stay connected to their community.

Roles are part-time with contracted morning hours, travel between clients, and the chance to grow with a values-driven organisation that puts people first.

Qualifications

• Genuinely enjoy helping others and offering support with empathy.

• Experience or interest in community-based aged care services.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support to older Australians to stay independent.

Job Description

A Typical Day Might Look Like...

No two days are quite the same.

One morning you might be helping a client prepare for their day and sharing stories over breakfast.

Later, you could be accompanying someone to a medical appointment, helping with the weekly shopping, supporting them with personal care, or assisting them to attend a social activity they've been looking forward to all week.

Sometimes the biggest impact comes from the smallest moments.

The Hours That Work With Your Life

We're offering contracted hours:

9am - 12pm

Availability is required between:

7am - 2pm Monday to Friday

Thursday and Friday availability is essential.

We also pay travel time and kilometres between clients because we recognise your time matters.

Desired Skills and Experience

We're Looking For Someone Who…

• You genuinely enjoy helping others.
• You notice the little things.
• You are reliable, compassionate and respectful.
• You understand that supporting older people isn't just about completing tasks.

It's about helping people maintain dignity, confidence and connection.

You'll also have:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Community)
• Experience supporting older people in the community
• Current Driver's Licence
• Reliable registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Current First Aid and CPR
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
