Job summary

Kirinari Community Services seeks experienced Disability Support Workers to provide structured, person-centred support within a 24/7 roster in Queensland. The role emphasizes calm, empathetic care, meticulous documentation, and following detailed support plans.

Ideal candidates will have current driver licence, NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain), First Aid/CPR, and Australian working rights, with availability across a 24/7 schedule. Training and onboarding are provided.

The Role

You’ll Support a Customer To

You Will Also

• Follow the Behaviour Support Plan and approved regulated restrictive-practice procedures
• Implement fluid-management strategies exactly as documented
• Record all fluid intake accurately and consistently
• Recognise and report changes in behaviour, sleep, health or wellbeing
• Complete detailed progress notes, incident reports and required data Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Refer family concerns through the appropriate leadership channels
• Respond safely to behaviours that may present a risk to the customer or workers

• Meticulous with documentation and data collection
• Flexible when needs or presentation change

• Able to use appropriate humour to build rapport
• Reliable and consistent with routines and support plans
• Previous complex disability support, Positive Behaviour Support, mental health or regulated restrictive-practice experience will be highly regarded.
