Job summary

CGS Pharma is seeking an experienced Capsule and Tablet Machine Operator to support our contract manufacturing in Queensland. You will operate packaging lines in a GMP environment, perform IPCs, and ensure accurate batch documentation while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires at least 3 years of machine experience (capsule or tablet) or strong mechanical aptitude; manual lifting is expected; forklift license is beneficial, and reliable transport is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating capsule or tablet machines, or strong mechanical aptitude with training provided.
• Pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food manufacturing experience is highly regarded.
• Manual lifting ability required (heavy lifting 20–25 kg) and attention to safety.
• Own reliable transport and punctual attendance are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform manufacturing processes in a GMP environment, including clean room behaviours.
• Run capsule and tablet machines to fill capsules and tablets with nutraceutical formulas.
• Manage batch records, materials, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Follow Work Instructions and SOPs and perform pre-start safety checks.
• Troubleshoot machinery and perform IPCs to maintain efficiency and yields.
• Maintain quality checks and minimize waste through process discipline.

Experienced Capsule / Tablet Machine Operators - Pharmaceuticals

Experienced Capsule / Tablet Machine Operators – Pharmaceuticals. Due to ongoing business growth, positions are available for experienced Capsule and Tablet Machine Operators to ensure growing customers' demands are met. CGS Pharma is a contract manufacturer of food and health products, manufacturing for many well-recognized brands in the health industry.

Key responsibilities

Operate and perform manufacturing processes within a TGA / Food and Cosmetic production environment, including clean room behaviours

Perform tasks required to run and operate machines efficiently including line clearance tasks and effective management of all raw materials and components

Operate capsule and tablet machines to fill capsules and tablets with medicinal nutraceutical formulas

Ensure all activities carried out comply with relevant site GMP and OHS&E requirements and be accountable for all documentation generated as part of manufacturing or packing processes

Ensure batch documents for manufacturing, packaging, in-process, and finished goods are completed accurately for various stages of processing

Follow Work Instructions and SOPs

Carry out Pre-Start Safety Checks and In Process Checks (IPC) as required

Minimize waste and maximize yields and efficiencies

Quality assurance and quality checking of all batch records

Troubleshoot machinery and diagnostics as required

About you

Minimum 3 years' experience operating either capsule or tablet machines, or a person with high mechanical aptitude as full training will be provided

Pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food manufacturing experience is highly regarded

Manual lifting ability required (heavy lifting at times 20-25kg)

Ability to work efficiently with high attention to detail and accuracy

A team player with a proven ability to work unsupervised

Own reliable transport and ability to arrive at work on time every day

High mechanical aptitude

Strong English verbal and written communication skills

Working Numeracy/Literacy and computer skills

Forklift License beneficial
