Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor encapsulation machines to ensure efficient and accurate production of capsules.

• Conduct in-process quality checks, including capsule weight and product specifications.
• Follow batch records and manufacturing instructions.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and timely.
• Identify and report equipment faults or quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per GMP requirements.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Adhere to health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer in the pharmaceutical industry located on the Northern Beaches for an experienced Encapsulation Operator. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced production environment, has a strong eye for detail, and is committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will play a key role in the encapsulation and manufacturing process, ensuring products are produced safely, accurately, and in line with quality and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manufacturing machinery within a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food manufacturing, or similarly regulated environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent numeracy skills, and the ability to complete documentation accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor encapsulation machines to ensure efficient and accurate production of capsules.
• Set up, adjust, clean, and maintain encapsulation equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
• Conduct in-process quality checks, including capsule weight, appearance, and product specifications.
• Follow batch records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing instructions.
• Complete production paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Identify and report equipment faults, product deviations, or quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with GMP and company standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets and deadlines.
• Adhere to all workplace health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as an Encapsulation Operator, Machine Operator, Production Operator, or similar manufacturing role.
• Experience operating capsule filling or pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Experience working within the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food manufacturing, or a similarly regulated industry.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good numeracy and record keeping skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• The ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and make machine adjustments where required.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
