Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Executive Support Officer.
Contract: 3 months | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $50-60 p/h + Super
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Corporate Performance and Governance & Risk teams.
- Coordinate the printing, preparation and distribution of Council and Committee meeting agendas and business papers.
- Assist with the set-up and pack-down of Council, Committee and Panel meetings, briefings and corporate events.
- Manage meeting room requirements, including catering, equipment, room configurations and general facilities support.
- Provide internal customer service to Council staff, Councillors and external stakeholders.
- Assist with purchasing, stationery management, stocktakes and processing invoices and purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records and registers, including document registration and records management within HPE Content Manager.
- Provide support to the Mayor, Councillors and Executive Team, including deliveries and back-up chauffeur duties where required.
- Liaise with external service providers regarding building maintenance, servicing and operational requirements.
- Assist with in-house printing, scanning, document preparation and general corporate administration.
- Support the coordination of official Council events and ceremonial functions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes and procedures.
Essential
- Previous experience in an administrative, corporate support or executive support role.
- Experience working within a Council, government or corporate environment is highly desirable.
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating meetings, events and room bookings.
- Experience with document preparation, printing, scanning and records management.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience managing stationery, purchasing, invoices or administrative registers is advantageous.
- Ability to provide flexible support across a busy office environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid Class C driver's licence may be required for back-up driving duties.
