Job summary

Integrated Disability Action (IDA) in the Northern Territory seeks an Executive Officer to lead operations, programs, people, partnerships and organisational development.

Reporting to the Management Committee, you will drive strategic priorities, lead a high-performing team and strengthen stakeholder relationships to ensure impactful advocacy and support services for people with disability across the Territory.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in community services, disability, not-for-profit or related sectors.
• Experience managing programs, projects and service delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• High-level written communication and reporting capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the organisation.

• Oversee programs, projects and service delivery outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government, community and sector stakeholders.
• Support disability advocacy and policy initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and develop staff and volunteers.
• Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant applications.
• Monitor budgets, reporting requirements and compliance obligations.
• Support governance, risk management and organisational sustainability.
• Prepare reports and updates for the Management Committee.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Management Committee, the Executive Officer will provide leadership across operations, programs, people, partnerships and organisational development.

You will play a pivotal role in driving strategic priorities, leading a high-performing team, strengthening stakeholder relationships and ensuring the organisation continues to deliver impactful advocacy and support services for people with disability throughout the Territory.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
• NT Ochre Card (or ability to obtain)
• National Criminal History Check
• Current driver's licence
• Ability to undertake occasional regional and remote travel
