Job summary

South Bank Corporation in Brisbane seeks a General Manager for Destination, Experience & Engagement to lead how people experience and engage with South Bank. Reportin g to the CEO, you will shape the precinct’s positioning, visitation and community connection as Brisbane grows toward 2032.

You will lead the Destination, Experience & Engagement portfolio, including tourism attraction, destination marketing, major events, communications, and the Visitor Information Centre, and build partnerships

Qualifications

Senior leader with experience in destination management, tourism, visitor experience or related environment.
Strong commercial and financial judgement with ability to identify revenue or sponsorship opportunities.
Ability to navigate a complex stakeholder environment across government, industry and community.

Responsibilities

Set and deliver the precinct experience strategy using visitor insights and market trends.
Lead tourism attraction, destination marketing, major events, communications and Visitor Information Centre.
Build partnerships across government, tourism, business, tenants and community to extend reach and impact.
Identify sponsorship opportunities that generate sustainable revenue and long-term value.
Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to align place design and development with visitor experience.
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team with accountability for financial performance, resources and risk.
