Job summary

The District Council of Yankalilla seeks an accomplished executive to lead the Corporate Services portfolio. You will drive performance, build capability and ensure statutory compliance while partnering with the CEO and elected members to deliver Council's objectives.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will shape strategy, oversee governance, HR, risk, IT, communications and customer experience, and lead a high‑performing team dedicated to serving the community.

Qualifications

• Must have tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Management, Risk, Law, Public Policy or related disciplines.
• Experience in HR, governance, risk and customer experience is essential.
• Proven ability to influence and negotiate in a political environment.
• Demonstrated strategic leadership, resilience and optimism.

Responsibilities

• Provide corporate leadership and drive strategic and business plans with the CEO and elected Members.
• Lead workforce planning, HR frameworks, enterprise bargaining and employee relations.
• Drive risk management, WHS compliance and wellbeing initiatives in the workplace.
