Job summary

Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service in Perth seeks an accomplished Director of Community Health Programs to lead a diverse portfolio of Aboriginal health and wellbeing services. Reporting to the CEO, you will set strategic direction, oversee performance, and drive outcomes aligned with community priorities.

You will champion Aboriginal self-determination, support portfolio integration, and work with executive leaders to ensure financial sustainability, governance and high-quality service delivery

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strategic leadership with executive oversight through managers and coordinators.
• Strong financial management including budgets, grants and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership translating priorities into portfolio plans and measurable outcomes.
• Lead community health programs ensuring integrated, responsive services.
• Champion Aboriginal community control and influence on service design and evaluation.
• Drive financial sustainability through budgets, grants and funding agreements.
• Strengthen governance, risk management and performance measures.
• Lead and develop people with workforce planning and succession planning.
• Build strategic partnerships with government, funders and community organisations.
• Advise the CEO with high-quality briefs and strategic recommendations.
