Litchfield Council is seeking a highly organised Executive Assistant to support the CEO and Mayor. You will ensure both offices run efficiently, manage priorities, and handle confidential matters with discretion.
The role spans executive support, governance, stakeholder communication and official events in a dynamic local-government setting. Expect to coordinate diaries, correspondence, and council meetings while assisting with governance processes and special projects.
Located just a half hour's drive from Darwin and boasting the best of both worlds with all the facilities and services in a rural setting, the Litchfield municipality offers one of the best places in the Top End to live and work.
We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support both the CEO and Mayor of Litchfield council.
This is a pivotal role at the heart of council, ensuring both offices operate efficiently, priorities are managed and important matters receive the attention they deserve. You'll work across executive support, council governance, stakeholder communication and official events, using your initiative, discretion and sound judgement to keep everything running smoothly.
From managing competing diaries and coordinating correspondence to supporting council meetings and tracking resolutions, you'll play an important role in helping the council deliver on its commitments to the community.
You’ll bring at least two years experience as an Executive Assistant, ideally supporting a senior executive or working in a complex, high accountability environment. Experience in local government, governance or council meeting processes will be highly regarded.
If you're looking for a varied and rewarding role where your organisation, initiative and professionalism make a genuine difference at the highest levels of Council, we'd love to hear from you.
