Job summary

Lawcon is a Newcastle-based civil and construction contractor seeking an experienced Excavator/Skid Steer Operator. You will operate machinery safely and efficiently on diverse projects, collaborating with a reliable team that values practical experience and quality workmanship.

The role requires proven machine operation experience, strong safety awareness, and a ready attitude to assist with general site duties. A White Card and a valid driver’s licence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and skid steer machinery safely and accurately across civil and construction works.
• Undertake site preparation, earthworks, final trim, trenching, backfilling, levelling and concrete prep.
• Work to plans, levels and site requirements.
• Operate machinery safely around ground crew and other trades.
• Assist with general site duties when required.
• Maintain machinery, equipment and a clean, organised worksite.

About you
