Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking an Excavator Operator for a coal mine near Blackwater in Central Queensland. The role requires operating Liebherr and Hitachi excavators with a current Dump Truck skill, on a 7:7 day/night roster with 12.5-hour shifts. DIDO or residential candidates (Blackwater) only.

Applicants must have mining experience on excavators and a valid Standard 11/Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain, plus a valid Australian driver’s licence and right to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Previous mining experience operating Excavators and a current Dump Truck skill.
• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical within last 5 years or be willing to attain this.
• SSE Signed skills list within 5 years.
• Current Drivers Licence and Right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators listed (Liebherr R9600, R9350, R984, R995, R996B or Hitachi EX8000-7, EX5000) in a coal mine production environment.
• Work a 7:7 Day/Night shift roster with 12.5 hour shifts.
• Roles available to DIDO or residential candidates (Blackwater) only.

Our client runs an open-cut coal operation located near Blackwater in Central Queensland, supplying high-quality coal for domestic and international markets. Our client prides themselves on safety, sustainability, and supporting local communities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will be working as an Excavator Operator within the Production Department on a Coal Mine in the Blackwater region. You will be operating Liebherr R9600, R9350, R984, R995, R996B or Hitachi EX8000-7, EX5000 Excavators. You must be experienced and hold a skill of any of the excavators listed above as well as a current Dump Truck skill. You will be working a 7:7 Day/Night shift roster, 12.5hr shifts. These roles are available to DIDO or residential candidates (Blackwater) only.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
