Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council seeks an experienced Dump Truck Operator for a major open-cut mining operation in the Bowen Basin. The role involves safely operating CAT and electric haul trucks as part of a production-driven team on a 7/7 day and night roster.

You will work with Skilled crews, ensuring safety compliance and efficient day-to-day mining operations. DIDO or BIBO options are available from Mackay or Townsville, with competitive remuneration and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience operating haul trucks in heavy mining environments.
• RIIMPO338E competency and Coal Board Medical are required.
• DIDO to site or use BIBO services from Mackay or Townsville.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking experienced Dump Truck Operators to join their production team at a major open-cut coal operation in the Bowen Basin. Working a 7/7 day and night roster, you will be responsible for safely operating haul trucks to meet production targets while maintaining compliance with site safety standards. You will work alongside a skilled and experienced crew, contributing to a positive team culture and ensuring safe and efficient day-to-day mining operations.

About the Candidate

Previous mining experience operating CAT 789/793 Mechanical Haul Trucks and/or Hitachi EH5000 & CAT 794 Electric Haul Trucks

Current RIIMPO338E (or equivalent) Haul Truck competency

Ability to DIDO to site or utilise BIBO services from Mackay or Townsville

Current Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical

Ability to complete a National Police Check

Reliable work ethic with a strong commitment to safety
