Job summary

TFCivil Pty Ltd in Sydney and the South Coast NSW is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our stormwater drainage teams on large civil projects. You will operate excavators from 14T to 30T and perform trenching, benching, and drainage installation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators on civil construction or stormwater projects.
• Strong experience in trenching, benching and drainage excavation is essential.
• Current White Card and excavator competency required.
• Experience with GPS machine control is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install stormwater pipes from 375mm to 2100mm in diameter.
• Excavation, trenching and benching for drainage installation.
• Prepare stormwater pits and associated structures.
• Operate excavators ranging from 14T to 30T.
• Collaborate with drainage crews to install stormwater infrastructure.
• Carry out general civil construction and roadworks related to drainage.
• Operate GPS-equipped machinery where required.

TFCivil Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our growing stormwater drainage installation teams across Sydney and the South Coast of NSW.

We are a family-owned and operated civil construction company with over 50 years of experience specialising in stormwater drainage and civil infrastructure works.

With ongoing projects and a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for reliable, skilled operators who take pride in their work and are keen to join an established team.

Current Work Locations

We have active projects across multiple locations, including:

• Sydney: Austral, Homebush and surrounding areas.

• South Coast NSW: Wollongong, Illawarra and surrounding areas.

We are seeking operators for both regions, with opportunities for ongoing work across our projects.

About the Role

The successful candidates will be involved in large-scale stormwater drainage and civil construction projects, including:

• Installation of stormwater pipes ranging from 375mm to 2100mm in diameter.

• Excavation, trenching and benching for drainage installation.

• Excavation and preparation for stormwater pits and associated structures.

• Operating excavators ranging from 14T to 30T.

• Working alongside drainage crews to safely and efficiently install stormwater infrastructure.

• General civil construction and roadworks associated with drainage installation.

• Operating GPS-equipped machinery where required.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience operating excavators on civil construction or stormwater drainage projects.

• Strong experience in trenching, benching and drainage excavation is essential.

• Sound understanding of stormwater pipe and pit installation.

• Previous experience working on roadworks and civil infrastructure projects.

• Ability to work safely and efficiently around personnel, services and other machinery.

• Experience with GPS machine control systems is advantageous.

• Relevant excavator operating competency and a current White Card.

• Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work as part of a team.
