Job summary

Evolution Mining Limited is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our Open Cut Mining team at Cowal Gold Operations. You will operate production excavators to meet daily targets, while maintaining safety, environmental and equipment standards.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will work on either surface or underground tasks, with a rotating roster and a focus on reliability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in excavator operation on a mine site.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Willingness to relocate to West Wyalong.

Responsibilities

• Operate large production excavators in line with mine plans and design tolerances.
• Maintain dig faces, floor RLs, batters and haul roads to maximise efficiency.
• Complete pre-start checks, identify defects and operate equipment within limits.
• Use MineStar GPS to ensure accuracy and report system issues.
• Contribute to safe, productive shifts through clear communication and teamwork.
• Participate in pre-starts, toolbox talks and continuous improvement.
