Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking an Ancillary Operator to join our Open Cut Mining team at Cowal. You will operate dozers, excavators, graders and water carts to hit daily and weekly production targets, following design tolerances and keeping logs up to date.

The role suits someone with solid open-pit mining experience and a manual Australian licence. Experience with CAT Minestar GPS is desirable; relocation to West Wyalong may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 months’ open-pit mining or quarry production experience.
• Demonstrated operator experience with dozer, excavator, grader or water cart.
• Valid Australian manual driver's licence.
• Ability to work a panelled roster and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pit conditions and support haul road construction and maintenance.
• Windrow/bunding construction to site standards and stockpile management.
• Drainage management and dewatering support; logs and documentation kept up to date.
• Execute tasks from Dispatch/Production in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report hazards or faults.
• Operate safely around heavy haulage and light vehicle fleets; truck operation when advised.
• Support dig face prep, floor cleaning and ROM management as required.
• Adhere to all safety, environmental and compliance policies.
