Anglo American is seeking experienced Excavator Operators for Capcoal Mine in Middlemount, QLD. Permanent full-time roles on a 7/7 day/night roster with FIFO/DIDO or residential options. You will work safely in a team to meet production targets, with training and career development opportunities available.

The successful candidates will have proven experience on large mining equipment and a strong safety mindset, contributing to a collaborative, high-performance work environment.

In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in manganese, as well as copper exploration projects under way in North West Queensland. Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.

Excavator Operators – Capcoal Mine

We are currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators to assist our mining production teams at Capcoal Mine in Middlemount. We have permanent full-time roles available, working on a 7/7 Day Night Roster.

The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a record of working safely and a commitment to safe working practices. You will be accountable for your actions and output, also display a willingness to learn new skills and to work to the best of your ability. Along with a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives and the ability to work shift work.

Qualifications

Relevant skills, knowledge and experience required for this role include:

• Experience on large mining excavators and dozers - including excavator EX5600s & D10 and D11 dozers
• Strong safety focus
