Job summary

WorkPac Group seeks experienced Excavator Operators for a major dredging project in Australia. Positions require operating 30T–90T excavators, with preference for 50T+ and multi-skilled operators across loaders and Moxy trucks. GPS-guided and long-reach experience highly regarded.

You will work on site with a 12-hour shift pattern on a 2:1 roster, handling earthworks, dredging, and related duties while maintaining safety standards and completing pre-start checks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in civil construction, mining, earthworks, dredging or similar heavy industry
• Demonstrated experience operating 30T–90T excavators
• Experience operating 50T+ excavators highly regarded
• Multi-skilled experience operating excavators, loaders and Moxy trucks highly regarded
• GPS excavator experience highly regarded
• Long-reach excavator experience advantageous
• Willingness to undertake labouring and other duties when required
• Moxy ticket/licence required
• Current driver’s licence, with validity subject to verification
• Ability to pass required medical and site inductions
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work in a team

Responsibilities

• Operate HC trucks and assist with labouring duties as required
• Operate excavators ranging from 30T to 90T depending on the position
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures
• Assist with loading, unloading and moving materials and equipment
• Follow GPS guidance, survey information and site instructions where required
• Undertake additional labouring or multi-skilled duties when required
• Complete pre-start inspections and report equipment faults or safety concerns

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Excavator Operators for an upcoming dredging project.

These positions will suit reliable, hardworking candidates with relevant civil construction, mining, earthworks or heavy equipment experience who are comfortable working in a hands-on project environment.

Excavator Operators must have experience operating excavators ranging from 30T to 90T, with experience operating 50T+ equipment highly regarded. Multi-skilled operators with experience operating excavators, loaders and Moxy trucks are encouraged to apply. Experience operating GPS-guided and long-reach excavators will be highly regarded.
