Job summary

Big Boss Concreting Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Combo/Excavator Operator to join our Brisbane-based team. You will operate a 6T Kobelco excavator and a Posi Track, assist concreting crews, and help prepare sites across Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan and the Gold Coast.

This full-time role offers weekly pay, consistent hours, PPE and uniforms, and the chance to work with well-maintained machinery and attachments while contributing to a busy, safety‑minded crew.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience operating machinery.
• Proven experience operating Posi Tracks and Excavators (5T+).
• Experience using a variety of machinery attachments.
• Ability to safely load and unload machinery from trucks and trailers.
• A current Construction Induction White Card.
• A valid MR Driver’s Licence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive approach to safety and risk management.
• The ability to work independently and use initiative.
• A willingness to assist the concreting crew and with other tasks as required.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to work in a construction environment.
• Reliable and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Preparing sites and assisting concreting crews with earthworks and site preparation
• Loading and unloading machinery from trucks and beaver tail trailer
• General machine maintenance, pre-start checks and keeping equipment in good working order
• Working safely around other trades, concreting crews and members of the public
• Assisting with general site duties when required
• Moving between projects across Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan and the Gold Coast
• Working efficiently to keep projects on schedule
• Following all company safety procedures and site requirements

Employment: Full-Time

Pay: $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience

About Big Boss Concreting

Big Boss Concreting Pty Ltd is a busy and growing concreting company servicing residential and commercial projects across Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan and the Gold Coast.

We are looking for an experienced Combo / Excavator Operator to join our team and work alongside our concreting crews, helping keep projects running efficiently and on schedule.

We operate a 6-tonne Kobelco Excavator and a standard-size Posi Track, along with a range of attachments.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, knows their machinery and is happy to jump in and assist the crew when required.

About the Role

Working as part of our concreting crews, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating our 6T Kobelco Excavator and Posi Track
• Operating a range of excavator and skid steer attachments
• Preparing sites and assisting concreting crews with earthworks and site preparation
• Loading and unloading machinery from trucks and beaver tail trailer

Working Hours

• Consistent work hours, typically between 5:30am and 4:30pm - Combo is housed in a yard in Marsden.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience operating machinery
• Proven experience operating Posi Tracks and Excavators (5T+)
• Experience using a variety of machinery attachments
• Ability to safely load and unload machinery from trucks and trailers
• A current Construction Induction White Card
• A valid MR Driver’s Licence

• The ability to work independently and use initiative
• A willingness to assist the concreting crew and with other tasks as required
