Job summary

Workhorse Staffing is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join a busy industrial operation in NSW. You will work in a high-volume site, operating excavators with grabs, maintaining safety and precision under demanding conditions to keep production on track.

This role offers long hours, overtime, and penalty rates, with consistent shifts Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays. You will be supported by a stable team and must hold a current Excavator competency and Australian work

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators on industrial sites.
• Experience with static and/or rotating grabs is essential.
• Excavator competency documented by a Statement of Attainment.
• Recycling or demolition experience is highly regarded.
• Strong machine control and spatial awareness.
• Ability to operate in tight or restricted areas with accuracy.
• Solid understanding of site safety and plant operations.
• Front End Loader competency is a plus.
• Full Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators in a busy industrial environment.
• Use static and rotating grabs to handle materials.
• Sort, move and load materials efficiently.
• Maneuver equipment safely around structures and restricted areas.
• Maintain awareness of surrounding plant, vehicles and personnel.
• Complete daily pre-starts and equipment checks.
• Follow site traffic management and WHS procedures.
• Maintain safe and controlled machine operation in a high-volume setting.

The Role

• Manoeuvring equipment safely around structures, supports and restricted areas
• Working accurately within tight operating areas
• Maintaining strong awareness of surrounding plant, vehicles and personnel
• Completing daily pre-starts and equipment checks
• Following site traffic management, exclusion zones and WHS procedures
• Maintaining safe and controlled machine operation in a high-volume environment

About You

• Proven experience operating excavators
• Experience operating static and/or rotating grabs is essential
• Excavator Statement of Attainment / competency
• Previous recycling or demolition experience highly regarded
• Strong machine control and spatial awareness
• Confidence operating in tight and restricted areas
• Ability to remain calm and precise in a busy environment
