Job summary

Grappa in The Rocks, Sydney, is seeking an Events & Reservations Manager to oversee reservations and enquiries from first contact through to the delivery of each event. You will work closely with the restaurant team to ensure every booking and event runs smoothly.

You will manage the venue's reservation system SevenRooms, coordinate private events, prepare run sheets, and use Canva to produce menus and guest materials, ensuring flawless guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant reservations, events or hospitality management.
• Strong knowledge of using SevenRooms.
• Confident handling guest enquiries by phone and email.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Experience using Canva and good presentation sense.

Responsibilities

• Manage reservations and event enquiries via email and phone promptly.
• Operate SevenRooms for bookings, guest details and event information.
• Coordinate private events and group bookings with clear team communication.
• Prepare detailed event run sheets including guest numbers, timings, menus and dietary requirements.
• Hold weekly events meetings to review upcoming functions.
• Liaise with guests throughout planning to provide high-level service.
• Work with management and floor teams to deliver event requirements.
• Create/update menus and guest-facing materials using Canva.
• Keep reservation and event information up to date.
• Assist with general administration relating to reservations and events.
