Job summary

Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced Events Manager - Weddings to lead our Weddings team across our iconic destination venues on the Great Barrier Reef. You will manage planning from concept through to execution, ensuring flawless service for every couple.

This role combines hands-on event management with team leadership, stakeholder coordination with couples, celebrants, stylists and suppliers, and delivering memorable wedding experiences in a busy island environment.

Qualifications

• Weddings, events or hospitality experience required.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver complex events and weddings.
• Experience coaching and developing an events team.
• Excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking ability.
• Strong client, supplier and stakeholder management.
• Calm, solutions-focused approach with attention to detail.
• Flexible to work varied hours around wedding schedules.

We're looking for an experienced Events Manager - Weddings with a strong background in wedding and events management to lead our team. This is a hands-on management role for someone who understands the detail, emotion and complexity behind exceptional weddings - and knows how to lead a team to deliver them seamlessly.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead the Weddings team and oversee the planning and delivery of weddings across Hamilton Island, ensuring couples receive exceptional service from the planning stages through to their wedding day.

You'll support and develop your team, oversee event planning and operational delivery, and ensure the many moving parts behind each wedding come together seamlessly. Working closely with couples, celebrants, stylists, suppliers and internal teams, you'll confidently manage competing priorities, resolve challenges and maintain exceptional standards across every celebration.

• Strong management experience within weddings, events or a closely related hospitality environment
• Demonstrated experience planning and delivering weddings and complex events
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop an events team
• Exceptional organisation with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities
