Job summary

Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced Events Manager - Weddings to lead our Weddings team across our iconic destination venues on the Great Barrier Reef. You will manage planning from concept through to execution, ensuring flawless service for every couple.

This role combines hands-on event management with team leadership, stakeholder coordination with couples, celebrants, stylists and suppliers, and delivering memorable wedding experiences in a busy island environment.

Qualifications

• Weddings, events or hospitality experience required.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver complex events and weddings.
• Experience coaching and developing an events team.
• Excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking ability.
• Strong client, supplier and stakeholder management.
• Calm, solutions-focused approach with attention to detail.
• Flexible to work varied hours around wedding schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Weddings team and oversee planning and delivery of weddings across Hamilton Island from concept to execution.
• Support and develop your team, manage event planning and operational delivery, and coordinate moving parts to ensure seamless celebrations.
