Job summary

Melbourne Park is seeking a casual Car Park Control Room Operator to deliver high-level customer service and ensure safe, efficient car park operations during Melbourne Park's event calendar. You will oversee car park activity, coordinate attendants and field teams, respond to issues and support vehicle and pedestrian movement during ingress, egress and peak periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service-facing role, ideally within an event, transport, parking or operational environment.
• The ability to remain calm, composed and decisive during incidents and periods of high demand.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage with customers, field teams and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately maintain operational logs, records and incident reports.
• A proactive approach to identifying issues, managing risks and escalating matters appropriately.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee car park activity and coordinate parking attendants and field teams.
• Monitor hazards, incidents, congestion and access issues; escalate as required.
• Support safe ingress/egress and peak operational periods across the precinct.
• Maintain clear radio communication and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Respond to customer and operational enquiries and coordinate resolutions.
• Log incidents and shift handovers with accurate records.
