Job summary

Butcher and Vine Hampton in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team on a part-time basis, with 2-3 nights per week from 5-10pm. The role emphasizes preparing and cooking dishes and keeping workstations clean and organised under time constraints.

You will work closely with the head chef, follow food safety practices, and contribute to consistent quality and presentation across all dishes while delivering friendly service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Cook in a professional kitchen environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices, hygiene standards and cross-contamination prevention.
• Proficiency in using standard kitchen equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods whilst maintaining quality standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to take direction from senior kitchen staff.
