7 Grams in Richmond, VIC is seeking a Cook for a full-time, 38-hour week. You will prepare and cook the cafe’s menu to a consistent standard, manage portion control, food safety and line maintenance, and support menu planning and forecasting.

You'll lead a small kitchen team, train apprentices, and ensure high-quality dishes during busy daytime service, with attention to dietary requirements and fresh produce. Australian citizens and residents encouraged to apply.

Competenze

• AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is required, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of relevant industry experience as a Cook in a fast-paced professional kitchen.
• Proficiency in operating commercial kitchen equipment and applying foundational cooking techniques.
• Strong attention to detail in food quality, presentation and precise portion control.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, correct storage techniques, allergen management and hygiene compliance.

Mansioni

• Prepare and cook a varied cafe menu using ovens, grills, fryers, cooktops, steamers and other equipment.
• Regulate and monitor equipment temperatures to achieve consistent results.
• Season, portion and present dishes with appropriate sauces and garnishes.
• Store and label food correctly, manage stock rotation and food safety practices.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff and apprentices in food preparation and safety.
