Job summary

Mater Bundaberg is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to step into an After-Hours Manager role, leading clinical and operational activities after hours in a permanent part-time capacity. The role focuses on ensuring safe, high‑quality care while coordinating patient flow and resources across the hospital.

You will bring five years of critical care experience, AHPRA registration, and postgraduate critical care qualifications, with ALS/PLS credentials or a plan to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration relevant to scope of practice.
• Postgraduate qualification in critical care (ICU/CCU/ED).
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in healthcare.
• ALS and PLS certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours clinical and operational leadership across the hospital.
• Coordinate patient flow, bed management and staffing to optimise care.
• Mentor nursing staff and foster a positive team culture.
