Job summary

Western Building is seeking an experienced Estimator/Supervisor to join our Melbourne construction team. This full-time role is based in South Melbourne with some flexible work-from-home options.

You will deliver detailed cost estimates, develop repair plans, and provide on-site supervision to ensure projects meet budgets, timelines, safety, and quality standards. Join a national insurer reinstatement builder delivering residential and commercial repairs across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Estimator/Supervisor in the construction industry (advantageous)
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Excellent understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
• Strong repair management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in using construction-specific software and tools, such as estimating software and project management software
• Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders
• Current full car driver's licence

• Collaborate with claim and repair coordinators, site supervisors, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive repair plans and schedules
• Provide on-site supervision and leadership to construction teams, ensuring repairs adhere to budgets, timelines, safety and quality standards
• Monitor and report on repair progress, identifying and resolving any issues that arise
• Assist with the procurement of materials and subcontractor services
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator/Supervisor to join our construction team at Western Building. This full-time role will be based in our South Melbourne office, with some flexibility for WFH. As an Estimator/Supervisor, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the success of our construction projects by providing expert cost estimations, repair planning, and on-site supervision.
