Job summary

Pembrook Homes Pty. in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the estimating team, reporting to the Senior Estimator. You will work with a team of 3 and contribute to accurate cost estimates for residential and multi-unit developments.

You will use Cubit estimating software (preferred) and Buildertrend, produce accurate BOQs and manage documentation, with a focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities. The role supports a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate previous Estimating experience with residential and multi-unit developments.
• Experience using Cubit estimating software (Preferable)
• Knowledge of project management software Buildertrend (Preferable)
• Previous experience in Estimating for a Residential Builder/Developer (Preferable)
• Have a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passionate about building and construction.
• A positive and self-motivated attitude.
• The ability to work without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Estimate construction project costs based on project plans and specifications.
• Analyse and interpret construction drawings, technical documents & Consultant Reports.
• Producing accurate Bill of Quantities & raising Purchase Orders.
• Documentation control and management.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings during the estimating process.
• Liaise with and assist project managers when needed.
• Manage change orders, liaising with our internal sales team.
• Produce accurate electrical layout plans.
• Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures.

We have anexciting Estimator Role , working with the estimating team

You will report to and be supported by Our Senior Estimator and work in a team of 3

The days and hours of work are Monday to Friday, from 8.45am -5.00pm

Duties & Responsibilities

Estimate construction project costs based on project plans and specifications.

Analyse and interpret construction drawings, technical documents & Consultant Reports

Producing accurate Bill of Quantities & raising Purchase Orders.

The Successful Applicant will have the following skills:
