Job summary

Brunel on the Gold Coast, Australia, is seeking an experienced Production Estimator to support a fast-paced residential builder delivering about 300 homes annually. You’ll work with established estimating systems and collaborate with construction, drafting and purchasing teams to produce accurate costings.

Key duties include reviewing plans, performing quantity take-offs, and preparing BOQs for turnkey and customised homes, while maintaining data integrity and driving cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with estimating residential homes in high-volume production environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production estimates for residential homes.

Description

As a Production Estimator, you'll prepare accurate and timely estimates across a range of residential projects, supported by established systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare production estimates for residential homes.
• Review plans, specifications, engineering and inclusions.
• Complete quantity take-offs, measurements and detailed costings.
• Estimate materials, labour, trades and construction costs.
• Prepare BOQs and pricing for turnkey and customised homes.
• Identify discrepancies, omissions and potential cost risks.
• Verify supplier and trade pricing.
• Manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
• Work closely with construction, drafting and purchasing teams.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
• Contribute to improving estimating processes and efficiency.

Profile

We're looking for an experienced Residential Estimator who is confident working in a high-volume production environment.

You will ideally have:

• Experience with new homes, volume building or production building.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials and costs.
• The ability to confidently read and interpret residential building plans.
• Strong quantity take-off and cost-estimating skills.
• Experience with BOQs and detailed project costing.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A practical and commercial approach to estimating.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
