Ashmore Welding Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager with structural steel expertise to oversee projects from tender to fabrication and installation.

You will liaise directly with clients while coordinating with the team to deliver high-quality workmanship.

$110,000 – $135,000 + Vehicle + Super + Bonus

Ashmore Welding is a family owned Gold Coast company catering for structural steel fabrication and installation within the residential housing and commercial sector. Primarily based on the Gold Coast but not limited to surrounding areas of Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

We're seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager with Structural Steel experience who will oversee projects from the tendering process through to the fabrication and installation. You will communicate directly with clients whilst working within a team environment alongside other key staff members to deliver a high standard of workmanship and professional service.

Responsibilities include

Review architectural, structural and fabrication drawings

Prepare accurate material take-offs and labour estimates

Price fabrication, surface treatment and installation costs for structural steel/metalwork projects through our internal estimating systems

Attend and carry out site measures/inspections with clients

Communicate with clients and work alongside our fabrication, installation and logistics teams

Skills & Experience

Ability to interpret engineering, architectural and workshop construction drawings

Structural Steel experience is a essential to be considered for this role

Experience estimating fabrication, welding and installation projects

Trade qualification in Boilermaking and/or strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and installation methodologies

Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site installation practices

Experience and efficiency with general computer skills

Knowledge of Australian Standards relating to structural steel and welding compliance

Ability to work within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
