Job description

SALARY – $120,000 - $140,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Wollongong, NSW

My client is an established engineering business delivering a range of specialist projects. They are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team near Wollongong on a permanent basis.

The Senior Structural Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar Structural Engineering position
• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Strong experience with structural design and analysis
• Highly skilled with structural analysis and design software
• Previous experience designing steel structures, frames, platforms and supporting structures
• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, ideally AS 4100 and AS/NZS 1170
• Good theoretical engineering knowledge of structural principles, load calculations and design verification
• Experienced producing engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
• Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Senior Structural Engineer role will involve:

• Designing and analysing structural components and systems
