Job summary

Coates Group is seeking an estimator to translate customer requirements into accurate, commercially sound quotations. You will work acrossSales, Engineering, Operations and Deployment to align scope, price and delivery from the outset.

Bring 3–5 years of estimating/quoting experience, strong Excel skills and the ability to coordinate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Hybrid opportunities may exist in a dynamic, growth-focused team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in estimating, pre-sales, quoting or related commercial role.
• Strong commercial judgement with ability to balance scope, cost and margin.
• Experience interpreting tender docs, drawings, specs.
• Confident with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience using estimating, quoting, CRM or ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with detailed data.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across functions.

Responsibilities

• Turn customer enquiries and opportunities into accurate, timely quotations.
• Own quotations from request to order readiness; document scope and pricing.
• Define scopes of work with assumptions, exclusions and contingencies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Hardware Design for cost and validation.
• Ensure quotes lead to production handover with minimal ambiguity.
• Identify opportunities to simplify estimating and quoting processes.
