Job summary

Sunshine Mitre 10 in Coolum Beach is looking for an experienced Timber Frame & Truss Detailer/Estimator to join their supportive team. You will be responsible for producing detailed designs for frame and truss while ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed frame and truss designs while working closely with production and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing detailed drawings and documentation for production.
• Ensuring designs align with production requirements and manufacturing capacity.
• Communicating effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to support a smooth workflow.
• Applying accurate, practical and cost-effective design solutions.
• Maintaining compliance with relevant Australian Standards and Queensland building requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A strong understanding of current Standards and Codes relevant to the timber-framed construction industry in Queensland.
• Recent experience using the MiTek design software suite.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in timber frame and truss estimating and detailing.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately interpret construction drawings.
• Experience working across a variety of residential and commercial construction types.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and achieve KPIs.
• A solid work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Well-developed communication and teamwork skills.
