Job summary

Cairns Hardware, part of the Dahlsens Family Group, seeks an experienced Branch Manager - Truss and Frame Centre to lead the end-to-end operations across estimating, detailing, production, scheduling and delivery in Far North Queensland. You will create a safe, productive, customer-focused environment while delivering projects on time, on budget and to high quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience managing a manufacturing, fabrication, frame & truss or related building products operation.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience managing production scheduling, workflow planning and manufacturing processes.
• Commercial acumen with exposure to budgeting, forecasting and P&L accountability.
• Track record of driving operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Customer-focused mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the building products, construction materials or timber industry will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary team across manufacturing, scheduling, estimating and administration.
• Drive a positive safety culture where everyone goes home safe every day.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling and workflow to optimise plant performance and resource utilisation.
• Ensure customer orders are delivered on time, to specification and with exceptional service.
• Manage operational budgets, forecasts, cost controls and profitability outcomes.
• Monitor production efficiency, quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste and enhance operational processes.
• Support business growth through strong commercial decision-making and customer engagement.
• Ensure plant equipment, facilities and systems are maintained to support safe and efficient operations.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Branch Manager - Truss and Frame Centre, youwill lead the end-to-end operation across estimating, detailing, production,scheduling and delivery. You'll be responsible for creating a safe, productiveand customer-focused environment while ensuring projects are delivered on time,on budget and to the highest quality standards.
