Job summary

Rashi Joshi on the Sunshine Coast seeks an experienced estimator to join a well-regarded builder/developer. You will work with the Estimating Manager to prepare take-offs, budgets, and pricing for commercial construction projects, with a focus on finishing trades and value management.

You will analyse subcontractor pricing, compile budgets for handover, and maintain project area analysis data, collaborating with project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating for commercial construction projects.
• Trade qualified or qualified Quantity Surveyor considered.
• Experience with CostX highly regarded.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Role

Working closely with the Estimating Manager for the company, you will take responsibility for the following. Noting that intermediate experienced will be assisted in some areas, for progression to a more senior level:

• Take-offs and budget estimates (finishing trades to start)


• Elemental and trade breakdown reviews


• Collate and analyse trade subcontractor pricing for benchmarking use


• Complete value management pricing


• Complete detailed measures for finishing trades


• Complete purchaser upgrade and variation pricing


• Preparing trade budgets for handover to construction team


• Obtain trade subcontractor and supplier pricing


• Assess trade subcontractor pricing


• Develop and maintain relationships with trade subcontractors & suppliers


• Liaise and work collaboratively with project stakeholders


• Updating and maintaining project area analysis data.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have relevant experience with the above duties, with a successful track record of estimating for commercial construction projects. Whether you are trade qualified or a qualified Quantity Surveyor, both will be considered. You will also possess excellent time management skills, be able to communicate and plan effectively with a high attention to detail. Experience with CostX will be highly regarded.
