Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is assisting a well-established homebuilder in South West Sydney to recruit an Estimator. You will prepare accurate estimates for custom residential projects up to $1.5M, coordinating with sales, drafting and construction teams to ensure competitive pricing.

The role offers a modern office in South West Sydney, onsite parking, and a strong focus on work-life balance. You will join a growing estimating department with support from an experienced team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' residential estimating experience in Australia.
• Experience with RSLs, variations and general residential estimating.
• Strong foundations and construction knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.

• Prepare sales estimates and quotes for new homes.

• Price materials, labour, RSLs and variations.

Our client is a well established homebuilder based in South West Sydney.

With a strong pipeline of projects heading into 2027, they're looking to add another Estimator to their team. This is an opportunity to join a stable, well run business where you'll work across a variety of custom residential projects, with values reaching up to $1.5M.

The role

Working closely with the Sales, Drafting and Construction teams, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for new residential projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare sales estimates and quotes for new homes
• Review drawings, specifications and site information
• Price materials, labour, RSLs and variations
• Review foundations and identify additional construction costs
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
• Work closely with sales, drafting and construction teams
• Manage multiple estimates and ensure pricing is accurate and up to date

What they’re looking for

• Ideally 3-5 years' in residential estimating in Australia
• Experience with RSLs, variations and general residential estimating
• Good understanding of foundations and residential construction
• Someone who understands more than just one estimating process
• Project homebuilder or medium-sized builder experience would suit
• Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple jobs
