Job summary

Inovi Projects is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our NSW team. You will prepare accurate cost estimates across diverse projects, from concept through tendering, liaising with PMs and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.

The role requires 3+ years of estimating experience, proficiency with CostX, Cubit and Bluebeam, and strong commercial acumen. Based in Sydney, the team values accuracy and collaboration on mid-to-large scale builds.

Qualifications

• Head Contractor exposure in fit-out, refurbishment or new build.

About the role

In this full-time role, you will play a key part in our construction operations, preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates across a diverse range of projects. Key responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment requirements

Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify all cost components

Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information

Participate in the bidding and tendering process, ensuring that our proposals are competitive and profitable

Continuously research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes in material and labour costs

Provide support and guidance to the project team throughout the construction process

Submit tenders up to $20M

Review and analyse subcontractor quotations

Contribute to methodology, risk reviews and value engineering

Following up tenders, negotiating outcomes and building relationships with clients, consultants and trades

About you

Extensive experience (3+ years) as an Estimator in the construction industry

Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation principles

Proficiency in using construction estimating software and spreadsheet applications

Strong attention to detail and commercially minded and well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and the project team

Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is desired

Experience using CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam and similar

Sound fit-out, refurbishment and New Build industry knowledge working for the Head Contractor

Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
