Job summary

You will collaborate with design, project management and construction teams, review drawings, source pricing, and support value engineering while maintaining pricing records and documentation for audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in HVAC estimating.
• Proven track record on Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial projects.
• Experience across hospitals, data centres, retail and industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment and installation methods.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Trade background or tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering/building services preferred.

The Role

As an HVAC Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for complex commercial mechanical projects. You'll work closely with our design, project management, and construction teams to deliver innovative HVAC solutions for some of Australia's most technically challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical HVAC projects
• Review tender documentation, specifications, and drawings to identify project scope and requirements
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing
• Conduct site visits and assessments as required
• Participate in tender reviews, handovers, and value engineering workshops
• Support the estimating team with technical advice and commercial insights
• Maintain accurate records and databases of pricing, materials, and labour costs
