Job summary

G.James Glass and Aluminium in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Estimator to translate drawings into accurate quotations for our Eagle Farm Specialty Products Division. You will read drawings, perform take-offs, and liaise with customers and project teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.

Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in the aluminium, glazing, construction, or manufacturing industry? Do you have a strong eye for detail, excellent numeracy skills, and the ability to deliver accurate quotations in a fast-paced environment?

Our Eagle Farm Specialty Products Division is seeking a motivated and experienced Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality customer solutions.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales and project teams by preparing accurate quotations and ensuring customer requirements are translated into practical and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, building specifications, and project documentation

About You

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

• Industry experience within the aluminium, glazing, construction, or related manufacturing sectors will be highly regarded
• The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and building specifications
• Experience preparing accurate take-offs and detailed quotations
• Strong numerical aptitude with the ability to work confidently with measurements, calculations, and costing
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence engaging with customers and stakeholders via phone and email
• Sound computer skills and the ability to work across multiple systems
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
• Medium to advanced knowledge in excel will be highly regarded
