PCL Constructors Pacific Rim PTY Ltd. is seeking an Estimating Manager in Sydney to lead the Solar Australia estimating team and oversee all aspects of cost estimation for large-scale projects.

You will drive strategic pursuit efforts, validate estimates, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver accurate bids. The role requires extensive experience in construction cost estimation, leadership, and strong knowledge of contract terms.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in construction cost estimating, preferably in renewable energy or large-scale projects.
• Proven leadership of estimating teams and mentoring staff.
• Strong knowledge of cost validation, procurement, and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Solar Australia estimating department with 7–8 reports, providing day-to-day direction and resource planning.
• Own complete, accurate estimates, budgets, and tender deliverables with timely reviews and approvals.
• Drive detailed analysis of contracts, drawings, and specs for utility-scale solar projects to confirm scope and pricing.
• Develop pursuit strategies, competitive positioning, and value engineering opportunities to win high-potential bids.
• Engage with clients, consultants and internal teams; present proposals and coordinate internal reviews.
• Establish estimating governance, standards, and reporting to senior management.
