Job summary

Perigon Group Pty Limited is seeking an experienced ESG professional to own a broad mandate covering responsible investment, ESG analysis, reporting and governance. You will work with investment professionals and senior stakeholders to strengthen ESG capabilities across investment activities and the broader business.

The role combines hands‑on ESG analysis with investment manager oversight and practical advisory responsibilities across due diligence, data management and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in ESG research, responsible investment, asset management or financial services.
• Strong understanding of ESG data, investment reporting and analytical methodologies.
• Knowledge of ESG frameworks and how governance influences risk and disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Support ESG due diligence and ongoing oversight of investment managers and strategies.
• Analyze portfolio-level ESG exposures, carbon metrics, climate indicators and controversies.
• Manage and enhance ESG data, reporting systems and analytical frameworks.
• Provide ESG guidance to investment professionals and support responsible investment initiatives.
• Review investment manager ESG policies, processes and reporting against stated approaches.
• Support corporate ESG obligations, including sustainability reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk and Compliance on ESG governance and disclosures.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced ESG professional to join a growing financial services organisation, taking ownership of a broad mandate spanning responsible investment, ESG analysis, reporting and governance.
Working closely with investment professionals and senior stakeholders, you'll play an important role in strengthening ESG capabilities across investment activities and broader business operations.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on ESG analysis with investment manager oversight and practical advisory responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting ESG due diligence and ongoing oversight of investment managers and strategies
• Analysing portfolio-level ESG exposures, including carbon metrics, climate indicators, controversies and investment risks
• Managing and enhancing ESG data, reporting systems and analytical frameworks
• Providing ESG guidance to investment professionals and supporting responsible investment initiatives
• Reviewing investment manager ESG policies, processes and reporting against stated investment approaches
• Supporting corporate ESG obligations, including sustainability reporting, modern slavery and regulatory requirements
• Working with Legal, Risk and Compliance teams on ESG governance, disclosures and greenwashing considerations

About You

You are an ESG or responsible investment professional with strong analytical capability, commercial judgement and an interest in financial markets.
You will ideally bring:

• Experience in ESG research, responsible investment, investment consulting, asset management or financial services
• Strong understanding of ESG data, investment reporting and analytical methodologies
• Knowledge of listed equities and how ESG considerations influence investment risk and portfolio construction
• Exposure to investment manager due diligence, ESG reporting or responsible investment frameworks
• An understanding of ESG-related regulatory obligations, sustainability disclosures and greenwashing risk
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work across investment and corporate teams
