JC Hire is seeking an experienced Equipment Service Person to join our team in Nambour, QLD. This full-time role focuses on maintaining and servicing a range of equipment, ensuring peak performance and safety for our clients.

You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance while keeping detailed service records. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites are required; forklift licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Source and order replacement parts and consumables as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organised workshop and manage tools and equipment.
• Undertake training on new equipment types to expand knowledge.

JC Hire is seeking an experienced Equipment Service Person to join our team in Nambour, QLD. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment whilst providing essential maintenance and service support to our growing client base. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is kept in peak working condition, delivering reliable service and maintaining the high standards JC Hire is known for. This position is integral to our operational success and directly impacts customer satisfaction and safety.

What you\'ll be doing

Inspect, service and maintain a diverse range of equipment including machinery, tools and hire equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance

Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and carry out repairs using appropriate tools and techniques

Perform preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan

Complete detailed service records and maintenance logs in line with company procedures and industry standards

Conduct safety checks on equipment before and after servicing to ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding equipment status, repair timelines and any issues identified

Source and order replacement parts and consumables as required

Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment and manage tools and equipment responsibly

Undertake training on new equipment types and technologies to expand technical knowledge

What we\’re looking for

Mechanical knowledge and hands-on technical skills with ability to diagnose and resolve equipment faults

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment

Valid driver\'s licence and willingness to travel to service equipment on client sites as required

Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and commitment to safe working practices

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail when completing maintenance records

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling and work in various conditions

Experience with small motors and electrical tools (advantageous)

Forklift Licence (advantageous)
